PHASE ONE: Manuscript Evaluation & Initial Consultation
Your manuscript evaluation and initial consultation is the first phase of Keith's coaching program. During this phase he provides a professional evaluation of your manuscript and its publishing potential. This phase is highlighted by a 90-minute personal consultation call in which Keith outlines the necessary work your manuscript may need to be successfully published.
The 90-minute initial consultation call is designed to map out a strategy to accomplish publication. During this session Keith will:
- Help identify the burden that the Lord has put in your heart for this book
- Share an objective evaluation of your manuscript or book proposal
- Point out the publishing potential of your material
- Offer direction to help strengthen its market appeal
- Map out a strategy for strengthening its publishability
- Provide a method of organizing and writing the manuscript you have in mind
Keith will provide an objective review of your manuscript, identify what could be "speed bumps" to your immediate or extended markets, and make suggestions that could increase the readability of your material. During the session Keith will answer your questions about the writing, publication, and promotion of your book.
Before this session takes place, we ask you to fill out a coaching application and mail it to Keith with any proposal notes and supporting information you have, a hard copy of your material, any publishing proposals you may want to be advised on, and a $90 fee to begin the coaching process. Your check will not be deposited until after the call and after you agree that Keith has provided you with valuable insight into the publishing process along with helpful direction for your specific
project.
After we receive your material we will send a confirmation by email. Once Keith has evaluated your manuscript or completed portion (usually within two to three weeks) he will contact you about a mutually convenient day and time for your consultation call. While the initial consultation call is in progress, we make a taped recording of the call and mail it to you for your subsequent
review. Most authors find this recording to be very helpful in reviewing the directional insights Keith shares. The tape is sent via U.S. Priority mail immediately following the session.
If you or Keith feel that further coaching would be unproductive, our author-coach relationship will end with the call. Should you, at a future date, feel inclined to re-establish the author-coach relationship, we invite you to call to discuss the possibility.
