PHASE THREE: Contract Mediation & Promotion Launch
The third phase of Keith's coaching program provides publisher submissions, contract negotiations and consultation on all proposals you receive. As your advocate, Keith highlights the selling points and worthiness of your manuscript. Following a successful contract signing, Keith will provide valuable insights to help you launch your promotional campaign.
The third phase of Keith's coaching program guides you through successful contract negotiations:
- Reviewing and evaluating publishing contracts offered to you
- Providing a buffer between you and the publisher
- Highlighting the strong points of your manuscript that publishers might otherwise miss
A publisher's interest in your material is based on several factors: the demand for your subject matter in today's market, the literary quality of the manuscript, a doctrinal position they agree with, the degree of your market exposure, the level of your visibility, and your ability to conduct promotional activities.
Every author is different and Keith will expend considerable time and effort toward helping you become a successful author. Our secondary fee of $490 is due after you receive and accept a publishing contract, and only if you do not receive an advance on royalties.
Literary agents normally receive 15 to 20 percent of an author's royalty. As your author coach and literary agent, Keith receives only 10 percent of the royalties you receive from publisher sales.
